Company: This Adelaide-based, well-established national Tier 2 building head-contractor is in search of a Contract Administrator to deliver large scale projects ($50m - $200m) across a wide range of sectors, such as accommodation, defence, education, entertainment & sport, government, health, industrial, office, retail and transport. Position: Due to the successes the organisation has experienced of late, they are looking to complement their existing team to deliver on an existing work book, but also win and develop new business. As such, they are looking for a proficient Contract Administrator to join. The successful candidate will:

  • Monitor, accurately forecast the likelihood of achieving, or otherwise identify possible measures to achieve financial objectives set for the project
  • Carry out all administration activities for the project in accordance with contract terms, company policies and procedures
  • Diligently manage all contractual matters and strive to minimise contractual disputes thereby avoiding unnecessary litigation or other formal dispute resolution proceedings
  • Maintain project records and company assets deployed via effective and efficient utilisation of financial and document management systems allocated
Experience Required:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s)
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying or Contract Administration role on large scale residential projects
  • An excellent understanding of risk and profitability
  • Good knowledge of contract forms and procedures
  • Experience in managing trade budgets and reporting against committed costs
  • Sound negotiating skills
  • Good technical knowledge
  • An ability to develop relationships at all levels
