Why this role?

KONE Australia and New Zealand are looking for a Sourcing Specialist - Direct Materials Portfolio, to join our growing Sourcing team in Mascot. Reporting to the Head of Sourcing ANZ, you will take ownership of the related supplier tenders, contracts and relationships to facilitate the best commercial outcomes for KONE and our clients.

What will you be doing?

  • In collaboration with the business identify leveraged sourcing and cost mitigation opportunities
  • Undertake RFx and negotiate contracts with our global and local suppliers
  • Develop and maintain positive relations with our key suppliers and stakeholders
  • Support and drive the implementation of category plans
  • Conduct data analysis and market research to support business case proposals
  • Compile and submit complex Direct Material portfolio BI reports to facilitate decisioning
  • Contribute to cost management initiatives across key major and large-scale build projects
  • Ensure local policies and compliance guidelines are adhered to by the broader business

Are you the one?

  • Demonstrated success managing an Direct portfolio including OEM, Materials, Spare Parts, Project Consumables etc
  • Proven record in negotiating national / transnational contracts with beneficial outcomes
  • Supplier vetting, risk management and governance
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation (i.e. Modern Slavery Act, Contract Law etc)
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to work with big data and compile complex business insights and market research reports
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of purchasing systems (SAP or similar)
  • Proactive, adaptable and resourceful attitude
