Category Manager - Biscuits

Would you like to lead a rewarding portfolio which will see you working with some of our largest suppliers? Your focus in this role will be to deliver a range that is better for customers, simple to execute and enhances the customer perception of our value, quality & range. By doing so delivering to target and sales, profit, market share & voice of customer objectives. We have an exciting opportunity for you to take the next step in their career within our Buying team.
 
What we are looking for:
 
You’re currently looking to take on a unique portfolio and have the ability to negotiate and influence with cross functional and external stakeholders and looking to: 

  • Lead the overall customer and business strategy for the Biscuit portfolio with full P&L accountability
  • Work collaboratively alongside key senior stakeholders with respect to delivering the strategic plan 
  • Playing a lead role in liaising with key stakeholders 
  • Coach & Develop direct reports in the team
  • Develop and implement the strategy with respect to cost and sell price, profitability, range & NPD
  • Accountable for the fiscal performance of the category including forecasting, budgets and overall performance to KPI’s and expectations.
  • Develop and manage strong supplier relationships with a varied and diverse supplier base.

 
Who are you? 

You are looking for a new challenge and to take a large category within the Woolworths Supermarkets buying team. You enjoy coaching both your own team and peers and keen to play an active role in continuing to grow the team’s culture and people initiatives and engagement plan.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following qualities, skills and experience:

  • Proven buying experience at a Category Manager level, in a large supermarket/ FMCG environment 
  • Success in developing and executing a clear customer focused Category Plan that is aligned to the overarching divisional strategy and based on sound commercial insights / data
  • A strong background and demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence with cross functional and external stakeholders at all levels across the business
  • A reputation as an outstanding leader, influencer and deliverer of exceptional results
  • Ability to coach and develop a high performing category team and develop a culture where the customer is the focus and at the centre of all decisions made.
