the Area Manager for Salamanca Fresh. Salamanca Fresh is a popular fresh produce and
gourmet foods retailer with 7 stores in Hobart. They have been operating and growing since
1980. Salamanca Fresh takes pride in delivering an excellent customer experience and
sourcing only the best quality in local and Australian produce.

About the role:
As the Area Manager for Salamanca Fresh, you will be working full time but this position
also requires overtime to get the job done. Reporting to the Directors, the most important
responsibility is to ensure that the Managers and stores achieve the required Gross Profits in
each department and store overall. You will be managing the store managers, store
supervisors and department supervisors. These departments are fresh produce,
delicatessen, groceries and fresh meat.

What we’re looking for:
Someone with a very strong background in the fresh produce and/or
supermarkets industries.
Extensive managerial experience in supermarkets/green grocers.
A “hands-on” approach to working and the ability to get in and help.
Proven experience with controlling costs, wastage and very importantly, people
management.
A good understanding and working knowledge of industrial relations,
occupational health and safety requirements.
Management in non-perishable and perishable stock
