Are you ready to hit the ground running with an opportunity that doesn’t present itself often? We currently have a rare & exciting role available in our Retail division, as our Retail Operations Manager.

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking an experienced and passionate Retail Operations Manager. As Retail Operations Manager you will ensure that our ASICS stores achieve their commercial targets and represent our brand through consistently promoting and setting high retail standards. This role is an integral part of the management team & you find motivation in constantly being challenged to deliver your best to your team and thus our customers.

Based at Head Office in Marsden Park, your day will be focused on the following activities;

  • Ensuring the network of stores meets sales and profitability targets
  • Ensuring the stores have the appropriate mix of inventory
  • Accurate analysis, reporting and presentation of business performance
  • Assisting and guiding your direct reports on hiring and performance management
  • Project Management for Retail initiatives such as but not limited to - IT developments, reporting development, store fit-outs and events
  • Drive and passion to continue to educate yourself and your team on current retail trends
  • Constantly strive to develop initiatives that improve store performance or customer experience
  • Administration including but not limited to - updating policy, procedure and audit documentation
  • Vendor negotiation
  • Collaborate with internal stake holders
  • Co-ordinate repairs and maintenance of the stores.
  • Lead and coach our Regional Managers and Trainers to deliver on our retail strategy.

As our preferred candidate, you will be hands-on and excited by change. Where no opportunity is too large or too small! You will bring with you;

  • Knowledge/experience of speciality retail
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within a retail business
  • Demonstrated business acumen
  • P&L Analysis knowledge and experience
  • The ability to think strategically and identify key opportunities and improvements, whilst being able to effectively implement them within the team.
  • Leadership experience managing direct reports locally and interstate.
  • The ability to deliver tight deadlines, strong time management, and organisation skills
  • High level initiative, enthusiasm & self-motivation.
  • A resilient yet flexible approach & positive attitude. The ability to working autonomously and in a team while motivating others to do the same.
  • Confidence in a broad range of software packages (Microsoft Office intermediate level, including Excel, Word and Outlook).

In order to really set yourself apart you will also demonstrate;

  • Relevant tertiary and industry experience and education by way of a Business or Commerce degree.
  • Strong practical knowledge and understanding of retail/commercial environment
  • Experience in a Customer Service/vendor environment
