About the Role

We are searching for a Qualified Butcher Assistant Manager  to join this established Fresh Food Retailer. You will be an expert in all area's of meat preparation, de-boning, and delivering exceptional products for our customers. In this role you will be confident in performing quality inspections, taking accountability for the presentation of the meat as well as coaching and developing your team. This role will see you working a 60 hour a week starting at around 5am each day. 

Skills and Experience

• You will have industry qualifications
• Ideally Food Handlers certificate
• Longevity in your past roles
• Past management and leadership experience
• Confidence in coaching, developing, mentoring and performance management 
• Exceptional skills in deboning, tying, grinding and tenderising meat
• Excellent customer service experience
• Attention to detail and accurate with weighing and numbers
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in the safety and use of equipment
• Understanding how to maintain and sharpen blades
• You will take a lot of pride and passion in your career
• Understanding of quality control checks
