The Role
As part of Simpler for Stores, this role will support the introduction of Workforce Management and Labour Standards into Retail Operations across Dan Murphy’s and BWS retail. 
Key responsibilities will be:

  • To develop and deploy productivity labour standards
  • To ensure that departmental labour standards are optimised through end to end rostering solutions
  • To fully understand the operational cost base throughout the annual financial cycle
  • To fully understand all proposed and developing process change
  • Support Simpler for Stores team and partner business team to identify process improvement opportunities 
  • To support multiple business stakeholders to drive maximum value from process change that reduces the stores’ cost of doing business.
  • Support Simpler for Stores, Brand Finance and Operations teams to identify underlying performance opportunities 
  • To lead as a role model and openly contribute to the success needs of the team before self, and is unafraid to positively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders 
  • Encourage an environment of support and guidance within the workplace, with effective change management skills that supports business agility.

Who we’re looking for

  • Experience in leading and coaching people to achieve overall project requirements.
  • Retail or customer services sector business experience, with an ability to understand and challenge processes.
  • Tertiary education qualification in industrial engineering, mathematics, statistics or business equivalent.
  • Specialist skills including industrial engineering qualifications; Maynard’s Sequence Operation Sequence Technique (MOST), Performance Rated Activity Sampling, and Time Study.
  • Proven application of productivity measurement and business modeling techniques, with a strong financial acumen that supports cost base decision making.
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Knowledge and understanding of time and attendance and workforce management systems.
  • Ability to understand and effectively interpret Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with ability to work independently, and across video conferencing as appropriate.
  • Able to travel interstate and within state.
  • Experience in working within a Project and Transformation environment with an ability to engage and influence key stakeholders, and work extensively with external business suppliers
