We are currently searching for a Product Development Manager to lead the development of the Assembly Label seasonal product ranges in line with the brand vision & creative direction, ensuring the brand quality, value standards and seasonal timelines are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of seasonal apparel collections inline with brand vision and to seasonal timelines.
  • Leading the fit development process from initial design concept, through sell in samples, grading and size sets to pre-production samples, ensuring the ranges are executed in line with the brand aesthetics, design vision, quality, lead time and cost requirements.
  • Accountable for ensuring all developments meet our traceability strategy, legal and safety requirements and are fit for purpose.
  • Responsible for ensuring construction of garments is not only fit for purpose but meets the brands outstanding value and quality criteria.
  • Accountable for new style handover to the wholesale and production team.
  • Supporting the production team on technical construction and fit decision making on shipment samples.
  • Responsible for ensuring all costings are sense checked, negotiated and in line with margin targets prior to range release.
  • Responsible for communication of product details to the marketing and e-commerce teams.
  • Accountable for reporting on supplier performance and hit rates at the end of each season and developing and implementing continuous improvement plans.
  • Supporting the Head of Product on the implementation of the supplier sourcing strategy and resourcing of any styles as required.
  • Responsible for building strong relationships with Assembly Label apparel suppliers.
  • Travel to suppliers as required.
  • Responsible for the career development, support and mentoring of product developers.
  • Responsible for own career development, supported by the Head of Product.

Who You Are:

  • Fashion Design/Technical Qualification.
  • Technical garment construction and fitting skills.
  • Fabric construction knowledge.
  • Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience working across different apparel categories for a brand or retailer.
  • Experience working with off-shore supply base.
  • Minimalist aesthetic.
  • Exceptional eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Open minded, respectful and with a positive attitude.
  • Values team effort and collaboration with others and builds strong relationships.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and within deadlines.
