Forecasting And Demand Planning Manager

This role is responsible for demand forecasting, planning and inventory management of sellable and non-sellable SKUs with the aim of achieving growth, profitability and market share targets whilst upholding brand equity and image across all channels of distribution in Australia and New Zealand.

What Will You Do?

  • Take direct ownership of the delivery of demand forecasts of new and existing SKUs (full life cycle) based on thorough analysis of historical data, trends and marketing plans;
  • Maintain overall product assortments of selling and non-selling SKUs to support the brand and product strategy;
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, VM, Sales Operations and Supply Chain to define and validate purchase orders of new and existing SKUs whilst also ensuring delivery of planned merchandise to points of sales in a timely manner;
  • Build upon the relevant KPIs to monitor forecast accuracy vs sell-in, sell-thru and budget targets. Communicate these to the relevant stakeholders to ensure areas of opportunity are transparent while driving data driven decision making;
  • Prepare and animate the governance around forecasting and demand planning for the Fragrance & Beauty division. This includes supporting local and regional strategic projects relating to distribution grading, assortment rationalization and e-commerce.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Tertiary qualification in Business / Marketing / Applied Science or a related discipline;
  • At least 10 years’ work experience in demand and supply planning, preferably gained in the beauty or FMCG industry with management of large volume SKUs. Direct involvement in project management and implementing forecasting tools /systems is well regarded;
  • Excellent statistical and MS Excel skills - superior numerical and data analysis capabilities is essential and prior experience with modelling tools would be advantageous;
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively;
  • Good team player, articulate with great influencing skills. Comfortable with driving change and process improvements;
  • Commercially astute, driven and strategic in approach.
