About the Role

As the Proposition Trading Manager you will develop and drive best in class Proposition Trading and Range opportunities that deliver convenient value to attract new and retain existing customers, while driving sustainable sales growth and gross profit in line with the Quarterly Delivery Cycle (QDC) process.

As part of the broader Commercial Practice, and reporting into the Proposition Merchandising, Range & Trading Chapter, you will support, engage and partner cross-functionally across WooliesX and the wider Woolworths Group.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive, optimise and execute the Proposition Trading Plan collaboratively across WooliesX in line with the QDC Process.
  • Support the development of a competitive Customer Value Proposition (CVP)
  • Partner with the eCom Range & Space and the Category Trading Team to develop & execute the Proposition range & merchandising strategy to curate, extend & optimise the right range for customers
  • Design the Proposition Range to best drive a convenient customer experience
  • Support and work in line with our Agile Structure, partnering and collaborating across WX tribes, Squads and Practices and more broadly with Woolworths Group and external partners.
  • Support the development and on-the-job coaching as a Commercial Practice Mentor

About You 

With a strong background in eCommerce, Retail or FMCG and a proven track record in delivering results, you will be an effective collaborator with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

Your demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships, proven track record of consistent delivery against trading KPIs, and your ability to prioritise work in a pressured situation, will be essential to your success in this role. 

Additional desirable skills and attributes will include: 

  • Business degree/qualification
  • 8yrs+ cross-functional buying/trading & merchandising experience (FMCG, Retailer or Supplier)
  • Deep understanding of category management, activation, retail operations, digital, eCommerce and convenience propositions is an advantage
  • Experience managing P&L and budgets
  • Passion for online retail, eCommerce or technology.
