We're searching for an experienced Butcher to join our passionate and dynamic team. This position is located at our Richmond warehouse which operates Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and preparing all meat with precision and to Hagen's Organics standards.
  • Preparing all types of meat for sale including cutting, mincing, trimming, and grinding.
  • Portion cutting for online orders.
  • Preparing seasoning, marinating and curing meat
  • Promoting ethical, Sustainable and Organic produce.
  • Chance to be involved with product development and innovation.
  • Assisting with stocktakes.
  • Adhering to HACCP standards at all times.
  • Working as part of an enthusiastic, and passionate team.

Established in 1999, Hagen's is a second-generation family owned artisan butcher which is now being run by siblings Oliver and Ruby Hagen.

Hagen's has been a long-term player in the meat industry, paving the way forward with their dedication and commitment for providing customers a healthier, more environmentally friendly way of eating and championing organic produce. Working closely with farmers around Australia, our goal is to help create a sustainable industry which has respect for the land, animals and producers.

Who We're Looking For

Individuals who love working in a team, are passionate about organic produce and embrace innovation.

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working as a Butcher
  • Previous experience in organic meats and/or a genuine interest in the industry
  • A keen interest in food and cooking
  • Someone who fits our passionate, dynamic culture
  • Ability to follow procedures and take direction
  • Someone who is looking to develop their skills, and who welcomes on the job training.
  • Reliable and displays a high degree of integrity
