With growth in demands and innovation, Samsung is always expanding its product range and constantly looking for passionate individuals to advocate for their products as well as brand.

The Role

As a Product Manager (PM) you will be responsible for either a particular product or an entire category. You manage product launches, lifecycles, pricing, target market, sales targets, product information as well as be the collateral support (PIC) for anything related to the product/s.

  • Mobile devices - smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, accessories
What is involved in your duties and responsibilities?
  • Direct management of the product or product caterogy
  • Work with the sales team to develop the channel for the product/s.
  • Responsible for the achievement of targets through the correct product pricing, and marketing activities.
  • Work closely with the relevant Heads of division to develop the vision and strategy for the product/s and ensure effective communication across all levels are being produced, prepared and issued.
  • Develop and conduct appropriate training for Sales personnel, internal sales staffs, Samsung Representatives and Service Staffs.
  • Maintain up to date price lists for the product/s - including price moves, analysis and price protection calculation
  • Assist the Product Marketing Team in the achievement of the division’s objectives
  • preparing detailed product marketing plans for the respective category with specific inputs relating to price, product, promotional and advertising programs, distribution strategies, point of sale support and service requirements.
  • Liaise with regional and global head quarters to discuss product strategies, planning, communications and service points.
  • Provide market driven sales forecast for the respective category, working with sales channel personnel on sales target and orders, maintain optimum inventory levels and assist sales with target achievement.
  • Assisting the sales team in establishing price list and selling prices to customers/partners (retail, wholesale,etc) based on profit levels.
  • Provide specialised product knowledge for the respective category product range to the sales team in matters of product presentations and dealer training.
  • Manage effective supply and aged/obsolete stock minimisation.
  • Develop and execute marketing programmes in conjunction with the corporate marketing teams.
  • Plan and conduct market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
  • Review analysis of marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.

An Ideal Candidate Will Bring
  • Qualification in Business, Marketing or Communications field (desired)
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience with Supply Chain Management processes
  • Proven ability to achieve budgeted targets, revenue targets and specific product sales targets
  • Experience in building and maintaining customer satisfaction through the development of broad customer relationships, including senior management contact
  • Exposure to similar product or product categories would be a definite advantage and high regarded
