About The Role

Engaging with people is what you’ll thrive on to carry out this role. Working a Tuesday to Saturday roster (part time for 21.5 hours weekly), your work begins with taking charge of our volunteers, supporting, coaching and recruiting them to be at their best in delivering customer service. Your volunteers will feel valued and contributing as they go about their work. The position requires you to manage all aspects of a store and its retail operations. You will keep a close eye on presentation and tidiness, greeting and welcoming customers when you can to enhance their visit. As you would expect, financial and budgetary matters will be priorities for you, ensuring store performance is maximised. We expect you to present a non-judgmental approach to others and to be observant to when people may be experiencing crisis. Necessary for your work is a valid driver’s license and an ability to undertake actions such as pulling, lifting, carrying and restraining. (All within work health and safety requirements). Be the best you can be while helping our store be at its best.

About You

You will draw on solid experience in a store, preferably at a leadership level. (Around 2 years experience is ideal). You consider yourself a people person, able to offer positive support to your volunteer team. Customers are very much at the heart of what you do and your initiatives are designed to meet their needs. You understand some visitors to the store may have particular needs and you address those with compassion and empathy. You are experienced at setting and reporting on budgets and have the skills to carry out retail financial responsibilities. You are now ready to bring your retails capabilities into a values driven organisation, striving to improve the lives of others.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a permanent part time position, 21.5 hours per week.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Retail Industry Award Level 6.
