Appliance Giant is a new upcoming appliance retailer who is a subdivision of a multichannel retailer located in Wetherill Park, NSW. We sell a range of products that include Televisions, Audio, Fridges, Freezers, Washing Machines, Ovens, Dryers, Vacuum Cleaners, Toasters, Kettles, Phones, Blenders, among many others.

Our partner retail store located in Fairfield, NSW has been trading for the past 29 years; first opening its doors in 1992. We together have served over 400,000 families and individuals over our extended period. We pride ourselves on the fact that we run a lean, low cost of operation, to ultimately continue the growth of the business and keep our prices competitive and market relevant.

Currently, our online channels consist of marketplaces such as eBay, Catch and MyDeal, along with our online webstore.

The business is growing, at a rapid rate. Thus, we are looking to strengthen and diversify our team with individuals who are dedicated, passionate and think outside of the box. We are looking for a team member who will not only excel at their role but also willing to help and be involved in other parts of the business. We want; someone who is passionate and understands our business goals and will go above and beyond for our customers. The right person would grow with the business and become family.

The role requires flexibility, an individual who can adapt to the ever-growing retail online market. Energy, confidence, and productivity is key, along with attention to detail and an exceptional commitment to better the business every day. We have No Limits of where we are heading, the sky is the Limit, thus our processes will regularly change, and you will need to adapt accordingly. Since we are a growing business, there will be opportunities soon to move into other areas of the business, e.g. marketing and communications, accounts, data clerks, business development and many more.

Confidence and efficiency are key, you must be able to work independently and unsupervised in a small team. You will be working directly with the eCommerce & Retail team along with the managers and directors.

We are seeking experienced Sales Specialist to join our team at our Fairfield Retail Shop front located in Wetherill Park, NSW.

About the role

The role we are looking for is diverse. As an Appliance Giant team member, you will provide excellent customer support through:

  • Effectively Communicating with customers; Ready to answer queries! Answer incoming calls and make professional outgoing calls to customers who are inquiring about the products and services we offer, answering all customer queries 
  • Maintain Records; Keep track of who has been contacted, either via email or phone.
  • Keep track of existing orders; Ensure that the customer is satisfied and communicated to through the whole process of purchasing, dispatching and receiving of their appliance.
  • Merchandising - Managing look, feel and cleanliness of retail store along with ticketing and visual merchandising
  • Replenishment - Be able to unpack and display incoming stock
  • Efficient cash handling and POS experience is desirable
  • Other retail duties, i.e. book service call for customer

  • A high level of appliances and electronics product knowledge such as Televisions, Audio, Fridges, Freezers, Washing Machines, Ovens, Dryers, Vacuum Cleaners, Toasters, Kettles, Phones, Blenders, among many others.

  • General computing skills.

To be successful you must:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience within similar position
  • Arabic proficiency preferred
  • Have a passion for retail
  • Be highly motivated and results driven person with outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Enjoy working in a team environment
