JOB DESCRIPTION

We currently have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Group Store Development Manager to join us at the Sussan Group!


Leading the Store Development team, you will manage the delivery of new and refurbished stores and of minor works in a manner maximising budget and program control. 


You will ensure cost efficiencies across the Group through procurement opportunities and effective utilisation of Group resources.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop a strategic plan in conjunction with Group Retail CEO, General Manager – Retail Operations & Visual Merchandise and key business partners
  • Lead your team in a manner which inspires high performance and delivers business outcomes
  • Project manage the design and construction process and manage the tender process
  • Liaise with leasing, providing input on site selection from a design and construction view point and to evaluate possible sites and opportunities
  • In conjunction with the Store Development Coordinator work with CAD, Drafters to produce working drawings.
  • Prepare half year and full year building programs for review in conjunction with Group Retail CEO and General Manager – Retail Operations & Visual Merchandise
  • Visit existing sites during leasing negotiations to inspect existing conditions, fixtures and liaise with centre management
  • Prepare, monitor and report to the Group Retail CEO/Financial Controller on the CAPEX budget to ensure compliance.
  • In conjunction with the Group Retail CEO and General Manager Retail Operations & Visual Merchandise, develop annual capital expenditure budget for approval


We’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in Building Project Management
  • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Interior Design/Architecture/Project Management
  • Previous retail store design experience
  • OH&S Red Card Training Completed
  • Strong Leadership and Communication skills
  • Strong Project Management, Negotiation and Financial Management background
