The Merchandise Assistant will provide broad support to our merchandising team (both new and replenishment buyers) across all categories (apparel and non-apparel). For this position we are looking for someone with top notch organizational and communication skills, and a "no task too small" attitude! This position will be responsible for interacting with diverse audiences (both internal and external) and must present themselves and the brand in the best possible manner. The Merchandise Assistant will enter purchase orders (POs), complete date entry tasks, assist with new item set-ups, follow-up on outstanding POs, schedule deliveries, and complete other tasks as required by the merchandising team.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

    • Enter, manage, and audit the submission and data-integrity of Purchase Orders (PO's) entered in our systems.
    • Coordinate the submission and distribution of Purchase Orders to approved vendors once entered.
    • Partner with Buyers (AU) and the Head of Merchandising (US) and other members of the Merchandising team in updating Purchase Orders to ensure accuracy of key information, including: product quantity, style, color, ship date, anticipated receipt, and any changes once the purchase order has been approved.
    • Assist in the development, weekly compilation, and dissemination of merchandise reports across the organization.
    • Maintain and update the open-to-buy (OTB), category recaps, and related operating reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Serve as a super user and defender of data integrity across our systems (i.e., Shopify, Inventory Planner, NetSuite, and any proprietary tools built in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets).
    • Serve as a contact for vendors and members of the merchandising team on intermediary issues including order cancellations.
    • Audit all reports for accuracy and update the Merchandising team and/or Director of Merchandise Planning as needed.

What We Require (Qualifications):

    • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Statistics, or related topic preferred. Closely related work experience can be substituted on a year for year basis (i.e., 4 year degree = 4 years of closely related work experience).
    • Previous experience in fashion/apparel buying highly desired.
    • Must be able to demonstrate a high proficiency in MS Excel (i.e., formulas, macros, pivot tables).
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills which include a demonstrated ability to actively listen and show empathy.
    • Positive, optimistic, "can do" attitude towards problem solving.
