The Opportunity

In this Pricing Analyst role, you will perform pricing, product design, and profit testing for AIA Australia’s Retail business. You will assist in the development and maintenance of profitable and customer-focused products and partner closely with varied stakeholders.

You will deliver actuarial sound and commercially viable solutions and information to different teams.

To do this successfully you will:

  • Support in the price, profit-testing, and provide financial information through the development and review of Excel, Montoux, and occasionally Prophet valuation and pricing models
  • Prepare reports and communicate product price, analysis, and results to internal stakeholders
  • Assist with special quotes, remediation calculations and other customer service-related tasks
  • Review and provide input on Retail life product design, terms and conditions, and reinsurance arrangements after conducting competitive pricing intelligence analyses
Successful applications will demonstrate:
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, preferably majoring in Actuarial Studies
  • Progress in Part 1 and 2 subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia or similar
  • Demonstratable Microsoft Excel skills
  • Knowledge or experience within the life insurance industry and/or Prophet, SQL, and R will be considered
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, abstract-thinking, and time management skills
