Reporting to the Meat Planning Manager, you will be responsible for analysing and delivering short & long-term demand forecasts and consistent inventory levels across the business. You will accurately predict demand requirements for items at full retail price, as well as promotions, ensuring the stock build requirements are taken into account for manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for the effective engagement within the business to ensure that the inputs of the demand forecasting process are of a high standard, interventions are minimised and that correct decisions can be made relating to the accuracy of predictions.
 
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Development of demand forecast accuracy: Drive the ongoing development of the demand forecast accuracy through evaluation and development of forecasting methodologies and processes.
  • Forecasting communication and engagement: Take ownership for inputs into the forecasting process validating the value of inputs and facilitating/challenging stakeholders to drive improvements and adopt value-added strategies.
  • Manufacturing demand requirements: Conversion of the sales forecast into a demand forecast taking production requirements into account to maintain the correct inventory levels within the Woolworths business and provide primal requirements visibility for carcass balancing.
  • Influencing business objectives
  • Continuous professional development.

 
About You

You are a Demand Planner or Forecast Analyst experienced in sales / demand planning & analysis - ideally, in fresh produce or meat. You have experience working in a large-scale retail or FMCG organisation and adept at dealing with multiple internal & external stakeholders. You can analyse large sets of data & translate them into stock actions critical for the Woolworths Meat.

You have advanced knowledge of Excel & experienced in a planning software.
