Position Description

Two great opportunities with a hair and beauty supply superstore in North Brisbane, offering a huge range of products from all the leading brands including some you wont find anywhere else.

This company is Queensland owned and operated and is proud to be know for exceptional customer service, constant innovation and excellence in what they do. Their business is growing, and as a result they are hiring two full time Business Administration trainees to join their highly motivated and friendly team at their headquarters located in Arana Hills.

Reporting to the Senior Purchasing Officer, you will work closely with the purchasing and accounts team, our stores and suppliers. In this role, you will be responsible for:

Purchasing ordering inventory and non-inventory from our suppliers
Stocktakes liaising with stores and completing stock write-offs
Investigating order discrepancies with stores and suppliers
Processing of credit claims with our suppliers so that they are resolved as soon as possible
Reconciliation of invoices against purchase orders to ensure that costings are correct in Google sheets
Liaising with our suppliers to confirm delivery dates
Processing stock transfers between stores and entering these into the retail management system (Microsoft Dynamics POS)
Obtaining missing invoices from suppliers and entering these into Asana
Basic order processing as directed by the Senior Purchasing Officer
Other duties as required

To be successful in this role, you will have:
experience in international shipping (imports)
experience in purchasing/procurement
strong organisational skills and a methodical approach
strong clerical and administrative skills
strong mathematical skills to ensure that cost calculations are correct
intermediate Excel skills and computer literate
an analytical brain with excellent attention to detail
effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak on the phone and write emails to vendors and internal personnel
enthusiasm, a willingness to learn
