JOB DESCRIPTION

Based in the Melbourne CBD, this phone-based wine sales role will see you join a luxury and premium Yarra Valley winery. The company is in a significant growth phase and will provide you with targeted leads based on internal customer data. It will be your job to convert the lead to a sale and secure a repeat customer.

We have a strict no discount policy outside of the discounts on offer to our wine club members so you will not be calling about sales/special offers. Therefore, to be successful in this position you must understand how to build rapport over the phone, navigate your way through a sale, overcome objections and have the tenacity to keep pushing through rejections.

Please note this is an ongoing full-time role with working hours between 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility to work part-time hours may be available. Please outline your requirements in your cover letter.

  • Utilising Hubspot as our CRM
  • High volume calls (minimum 15 per hour)
  • Overcoming objections and handling rejection
  •  Working toward set KPIs
  • Product training
  • Maintaining premium and luxury brand positioning in all communication

The ideal candidate has:

  • A love of premium wine and the ability to talk about wine in detail
  • Phone based inbound/outbound sales experience OR retail sales/wine experience
  • A confident, fun and creative personality
  • The ability to overcome sales objections and handle rejection
  • The ability to take on feedback and improve
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A drive to achieve sales
  • RSA certificate (mandatory)
  • WSET Level 1 and 2 (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Experience using a CRM
  • A permanent resident status or Australian Citizenship
  • Clear written communication

Reporting to the Direct to Consumer Sales and Marketing Manager, full product training, a wine allowance and discounts will be provided to the successful candidate.

Please send through a resume and cover outlining the following criteria:

  1. The best wine you have ever tasted
  2. Your favourite wine varietal and why
  3. The best sale you have ever made
  4. What you enjoy about working in sales
