The Space Performance Analyst supports the Business Unit through the management and development of consistent and effective procedures to enhance the Business-to-Business platform, whilst providing effective data analysis to deliver improved financial performance.

Reporting to the Space Performance Manager the responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc analysis, as required to make data driven recommendations
  • Provide analysis to build appropriate benchmarks for review
  • Collate data from different sources & identify trends and customer behaviour to influence ranging and store analysis
  • Provide analytical support to the Replenishment Analysts, Stores, Franchise Partners and Operations
  • Focus on improvement and streamlining of procedures and systems, sharing learning to ensure consistency across the teams
  • Complete store space performance analytical reviews
  • Analyse key performance indicators including: sales, margin, inventory, weeks cover, stock-turn, GMROI, GMROS and GMROF against benchmarks
  • Provide recommendations to improve store performance and productivity based on analysis
  • Support and influence effective review discussions with all business units
  • Identify and suggest where business improvements can be applied
  • Educate and coach Stores, Operations and Merchandise team members in context of Store Performance and Inventory Management tools
  • Ensure processes are implemented and adhered to and assist in training and coaching support
  • Aim to maximise and improve GMROI, GMROS & GMROF and Inventory productivity measures including stock-turn and weeks cover
  • Assist to minimise financial risk through effective proposals and recommendations
  • Project Manage various projects adhering to strict timelines
  • Manage and govern all Off Locations across our business with the intention of ensuring space is as productive and targeted as possible

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience/attributes:

  • Graduate/Tertiary qualifications would be highly desirable
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience utilising Space, Floor or Inventory Planning systems
  • Experience in a Retail environment with exposure to both Store Operations and Buying/Merchandising
  • Strong Analytical ability
  • Financial competence with commercial experience
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Proven capability to influence with a collaborative style
  • Experience within or knowledge of a franchise environment would be highly desirable
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office – including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
  • High level of proficiency in Excel require
