The Director/Sr Manager, Lifestyle is responsible for developing a long-term growth strategy across ANZ that leverages the richness of NBCUniversal’s entertainment content (past & present), managing NBCU’s relationship with senior management at leading licensees/retailers and building a sustainable business that achieves annual revenue targets. The Fashion and Living category covers apparel, accessories, footwear and living. The Consumables category covers all food, health and personal care products.

As part of the ANZ Consumer Products team, the role will be responsible for growing the CP business congruent with divisional strategies and guidelines while leveraging a strong knowledge of the local markets’ individual needs and opportunities. He/she will be responsible for identifying the best licensees to partner with, driving innovative and quality product ranges, providing input into global deals, accurate quarterly forecasting and direct management of retail buyer relationships across all specialty, mass and grocery retailers.

Category And Licensee Management

  • Lead the management and business development of the Lifestyle categories
  • Identify & maximize business growth opportunities, fill gaps across the category considering age segment, market, channel and appropriate franchise
  • Lead top to top relationships with key licensees and retailers
  • Drive contract negotiations with licensees, analyse forecasts & business plans and manage the process from contract to product development and execution
  • Determine where DTR relationships could enhance our business and negotiate, then manage these deals
  • Manage day to day the portfolio of licensees to ensure contract deliverables are met throughout the term
  • Build and develop cohesive commercial product ranges ensuring success at retail
  • Partner with Product Development to drive quality and champion innovation in product development ensuring lines are commercially viable for the ANZ market through meeting retailer needs
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitors, business opportunities, threats and dynamics for the categories and key licensees
  • Attendance and presentation participation in licensee/partner & retail presentations
  • Coach/guide other teams in the APAC region as necessary
Financial And Business Planning
  • Achieve or exceed annual budget targets
  • Provide quarterly business forecasts to evaluate progress against budget. Highlight any upsides or sensitivities and measures to close gaps
  • Gather and analyse business performance across category by licensee and retailer
Franchise Management
  • Develop a clear franchise growth plan for all of the core properties and identify market-specific opportunities within the F&L/HBC categories
  • Support brand and retail marketing initiatives with the development and execution of category plans and licensee integration
  • Brief additional creative assets where required to meet market needs
Retail Development
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with key buyers across ANZ retailers
  • Drive Ecommerce product penetration and merchandise excellence
  • Identify new retail business opportunities
  • Understand key seasonality and buying cycles across retail to ensure business maximisation
