Great opportunity for a customer focused Supervisor to join our Trade team located at our Mt Barker site.

The Role

As the Trade Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Trade department and team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing a supervisory role and delegating workloads to others
  • Maintaining high levels of team productivity and housekeeping
  • Ongoing store and team development and improvement
  • Monitoring customer service levels to ensure we are always Customer Driven
  • Implementing and monitoring promotional activity and merchandising of existing and new products
  • Minimising stock loss and shrinkage through effective stock management
  • High awareness of site safety and duty of care for team and customers
  • Ability to work across a 7 day roster
  • Working closely with the store manager
  • Ensure machine and vehicle checks are undertaken as specified and that the appropriate registers are up-to-date and any information noted is actioned as necessary

Requires skills & attributes:

  • Operational knowledge of a trade / building supplies team
  • Proven team leadership skills
  • Knowledge of timber and building supplies products
  • Sales and trade background
  • Well-developed written and verbal skills
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational ability
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • The ability to set and maintain procedures and workflows
  • Strong understanding of WHS requirements
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Current forklift and drivers licence
